And so, I say no to 99% of the emails I get. Seriously. And so as a result, I miss out on... We miss out on a lot of the crazier stuff. But what if... just for fun, I said yes. To everything. Again. So, I did this a couple years ago because I didn't think people would believe some of the stuff that shows up in my inbox. That's how we ended up with a casket in the studio, which we still have, by the way. Top comment on that video is, \"We need this segment every year, but at random times so they don't know when you're saying yes to everyone.\" So, that's how we ended up here with this toilet. Is there a tech angle to this toilet? I guess, kinda, yeah. The email said, uh, smart toilets are rising in popularity. And the Amazon listing reads, \"Smart toilet with bidet built-in, auto flush, auto open/close lid, foot sensor, heated seat, warm water wash, warm air dryer, deodorizer, night light, remote control. White.\" Rolls right off the tongue. I know. I guess that counts as tech, but I don't plan on installing this toilet and all of the plumbing and electricity that this requires. I'll leave that to the toilet reviewers, I guess. But I will mention it does come with this remote, which is tech. This remote took 10 seconds to pair to this toilet via Bluetooth, which is nice. There's a blinking light on the remote and a blinking light inside the bowl. That's how you know it's pairing. Uh, this remote also takes AAA batteries, which were not included for the $800 price tag. That was not nice. But yeah, like I mentioned, I am not actually a toilet reviewer. So, normally, when this hit my inbox, it would be a pretty quick no. But for the rest of these items, I will tell you why it would have been a no, in case it's not already obvious. So, let's get into it. All right, so our next item is called the Xbook laptop. And before I show it to you, I just want to throw back. Maybe like 10, 12 years ago, I got an email from a company from Alaska called the gScreen Spacebook. Anybody remember this? This is a dual-screen laptop. You opened it up, you slid it out, it was two screens. I'm a big dual-monitor guy. I thought it was amazing. I never got my hands on it, but I was intrigued by the idea. And this pops in my inbox as a triple-screen laptop. Now, you're probably wondering, how is it a triple-screen laptop? How do you open it and have three screens next to each other? Don't worry about it. They've thought about it, and this is the best that they could think of for three screens. Because you need three screens. Okay, here's the first. This is the top of the laptop, and this is kind of a little magnet. It's gonna make more sense later, but you can open it up right here, and boom, there's your first screen. Normal laptop. Totally normal. Nothing not weird about this laptop at all. It's got that Intel Core Ultra 7. It's got 32 gigs of RAM, it's got a terabyte of storage. Don't even worry about the other two screens. You don't even need those right now. But what if you do need them? Oh, okay, yeah, no problem. Hold on, just give me a second. Just gonna have to pull that over here like that. And then, this magnet connects them. Perfect. And now... Now, I have three screens at the same time. So, this is pretty insane, obviously. Uh, I'm not sure of a lot of things, to be honest. One, okay, when would you wanna use three screens in this layout? Right now, they're all mirroring each other. You can have them extend and have this be display number one, display number two, display number three. They are all, in fact, touchscreens and all independently will work. Uh, okay, I have these mirroring right now and this extending. But like... Why though? If I ever saw someone in a coffee shop with one of these, respect, you're clearly doing a lot of work. But yeah, this reminds me of the early days of like the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Remember the first Z Fold where it was like, okay, it was clearly a pretty bad phone, but it folded in half, and that was kind of amazing. That one interesting technology made it worth overlooking a lot of other pretty fundamental downsides that made it a bad phone, because we knew we'd eventually get to some place where it was better. The fact that you have three different displays and this much, uh, screen real estate is kind of cool and maybe worth overlooking the fact that trackpad's kind of bad and the laptop itself is not particularly fast. Here's, I'll show you the one trick that it has, right? Okay, here's a cool trick. You can fold this up, fold this down, and like this, right side up. It is a regular laptop. But if you want dual touchscreen, you flip her over, and then you open her again. Dual touchscreen laptop on the other side. It's an idea. It's a 2 out of 10 product. But it's an idea. All right, this here is the Garmin CIRQA. This is a screenless fitness tracker. Now, if you've been on this channel for a minute, you probably already know that I reviewed a certain other screenless fitness tracker and the alternative, which is the other Google, Fitbit Air screenless fitness tracker. So, this is actually right up our alley, and I've spent a couple of days with it. We've also had Andrew at the studio spend some time with it, and we've talked about it on the podcast. So, we are actually very familiar, and this is something that I would say yes to. And it's interesting. Essentially, the conclusion that we've came to on this is, so it's $200 outright, no subscription. It's clearly aiming at the Whoop to be a puck on your wrist that is comfortable, that doesn't have a screen to distract you, and that has all the functionality of tracking you all the time. And it actually has a couple different extra features. For example, there's a button on the side which none of the others have. So, a customizable button that lets you start a workout, which is super convenient if you don't have your phone in your pocket. I also happen to really like the band. This is the, the blue band that it came with here. There's a couple other colors, but it's soft, it's fabric, it's stretchy, and it attaches by Velcro. Honestly, I think this product would be much more impressive if it came out before the Fitbit Air. I think the Fitbit Air actually nails the form factor a little better. It's a bit smaller, narrower, pokes off of my wrist less. You can watch the whole video about that if you want. And it also offers a lot of data without a required subscription. So, I'll leave a link below to DC Rainmaker. He did a lot of testing about the data and the accuracy of these things. So, this versus the Fitbit versus the Whoop, and there's a lot more information to dive in there if you really care about that sort of thing. My conclusion is that I probably wouldn't get or recommend the Garmin version because it feels like a slightly less elegant Fitbit Air, but as a product, as a whole, like a 6.5 out of 10. But speaking of... Whoop alternatives. I promise. Imagine spending $1,000 on a smart toilet when you could actually just get the smart toilet top, um, and not the whole toilet itself, and measure all... kinds of things, uh, for $200. I didn't plan this. This is the Casana smart toilet seat. As you can see, there are some, like, electrical leads and a bunch of really obvious, uh, pieces of metal on the toilet. Because, yes, unlike the other smart toilet that I've looked at in this video. Never thought I'd say that sentence. Uh, this is gonna measure a whole bunch of things, like your heart rate, like heart rate variability, like your breathing rate, your stress levels. There's an app on the App Store that shows all this stuff to you in real time. There's a stat called duration for some reason. Also, important to mention, since it is a Whoop alternative slash competitor. This also has a subscription fee. Okay, so you pay the $200, and on the website, it says for the 199 bucks, you get this and the first year for free. And then once that year is over, you pay an additional $10 every month, to keep using it and keep getting that data even though you already own the thing. This is why people don't like Whoop. This is not something I normally would have said yes to. And as you can tell, I haven't actually connected it and tested it myself. But looking at it, I don't think I would want something like. I mean, it looks so, uh, the cold metal. I just, I don't know if this is, I would rather have the Garmin than to measure my blood pressure and heart rate with this. Four out of ten. All right, so this thing here, this is called the BUSY Bar. And it does exactly what it sounds like it does. It's a button that tells people -- that you're busy. And then it tells you how long you're busy, and then you can pause it, and then it's, it's actually kind of fun. I, I didn't realize how much fun this could be. This feels like one of those products that you would get as a gift for someone, that you don't know very well, and they kind of have everything already, but maybe this would be something fun that they could add to their setup. So, it's got this app on the phone where you can set yourself to being busy for a certain amount of time, and then it will sync with this particular box, which is cool, but, obviously, there's a bunch of other things it can do. I think it's kind of awesome. It's clearly overpriced at $200, but I find this button very satisfying to press. The animations are nice. The screen is nice. It's like annoyingly full featured and does a lot of stuff, all from the simple concept of just, like a busy button, a Pomodoro timer. What I also like is it has smart home connectivity as well. So, you can have your Google Home or your Alexa or your HomePod talk to this to tell it to say certain things as well. Cool gift. $200 or so. It's pricey, but I don't mind that. I'm giving it an 8 out of 10. Why not? It's fun. I think things should be fun. All right, here we have now. Mondo Robotics, Beni Robot. This... this is one of those things that made me glad that I said yes to everything, 'cause this is something I ordinarily would not have said yes to. A small... friendly camera robot on wheels that will follow you around, and then I get the email and I click on their website, and it's got a ton of videos that are absolutely insane. Videos that don't really look real. Some of them look real, some of them, honestly to me, like the skateboarding one, look AI-generated as well. My red flags are up. I'm extremely suspicious but I say yes to it anyway because I'm saying yes to things. So, this, this shows up, right? Uh, and it's got this little controller here as well. It's got these little ears, and it has an app. And it turns out, uh, it does literally everything it says it does. So, just a little bit of a breakdown. This is the robot's face/head, but there's a camera up here at the front and these eyes will light up in a second. This is a Kickstarter, so it's not necessarily a completely finished product yet. But then on the back, it came with two batteries that kind of just pop out like this, just like a drone. Double tap. Just like a DJI drone. Alright, so now, I'm connected to it on my phone, uh, which gives me a first-person view of the camera and lets me do all the controls. I prefer the phone app over the controller, so I'll go ahead and just... Fire it up. Jesus Christ! Okay. So, the app is showing me the camera feed. I can have the robot look up, look down. Uh, typically it's pretty good at tracking a person, which we'll get to, but I can also have it jump. I'm not even joking. I'm gonna press the jump button. Jesus! Oh, my God! Okay, it can do a flip. A front flip. Sounds cool, right? Oh! Let's go! Let's go!! I swear it can do it. Wait, wait. I've never seen it self-eject in a front flip before. Bang! Okay, okay, it can do a front flip. What?! So, it's got the cameras on the front, it can shoot 4K footage. It has object avoidance, kind of like a drone. So, while it's rolling around and tracking and following a person, it will actually avoid the things on the ground in between him and the person. Uh, shoots 4K 30, has a different speed modes. So, right now, you know, it's on the table in front of me. It's in low speed mode. I'm not trying to go as fast as I possibly can, but Beni in sport mode can go 18 miles per hour as it follows either you or a pet or whatever you want it. You literally just tap the box over the subject in the viewfinder in the app and it just follows it. It's also really durable, by the way. It's fallen off of this, but it's also like crashed into things. It's basically all plastic. Uh, it's... I've got footage of it slamming into cardboard boxes and table legs, which is not what it's supposed to do, but it's charming that it can actually survive that stuff. There's even times where it's tracking something or I'm, I'm like going. It like nicks a leg on a table and it like kind of falls a little bit, but then it gets up really quickly. So, this whole self-balancing gimbal part, like it seems to very, it's very durable and able to recover and get back into a normal stuff like that. I mean, it's, it's pretty good, man. It's generally able to get back on its feet. Beni Robot, shout out to Beni. Sorry, I shouldn't. You're right, I shouldn't pick you up. Sit. It's a 10 out of 10. What else you want me to say? I love this thing. Clearly I wouldn't have said yes to it, but I'm glad I did, and I'm probably gonna get another one. All right, next up is... A mouse. You can tell by the brown, and by the fan inside that it's a Noctua mouse, but it's a collab. Noctua, as, as some of my nerdier viewers, well know already by now, uh, makes PC fans, brown ones, really good ones. Uh, and so they've lent their name to this mouse. So, Pulsar Noctua mouse with fan in it. So, this is a wireless mouse, but I'm gonna plug it in 'cause I want to make sure it's getting all of the power since it's fresh out the box. And I took the little... plastic off the bottom. Alright, right off the bat, I already noticed it glides really nicely, and this is from someone who's used about 10 mice my whole life, but it's super, super light. 42,000 DPI. That is insane. All right, it says here, to turn the fan on, hit side buttons two and three and scroll up. You can hear that, right? It is full-blowing air onto my palm. No more sweaty palms. I've never had an issue with... sweaty palms. Okay, so, this on the box, it says three-step control, off, speed one, and speed two, but there's actually five, just from me trying this out. Light blue up to dark blue. Can you see that? Up again to green, and then up again to yellow, and that's the fastest fan speed is the yellow. I'm not mad at it, and I'm not a mouse reviewer, but now that we're here, I'm pretty impressed. Sure, why not? Put a fan in a mouse. I'm gonna give it an eight. All right, so next up is this little thing right here. This is called the Kardia 6L Max. And you might be wondering, what is this little thing? What is this tiny little handheld device that you're, you're putting on camera here? Uh, this is a personal EKG device. And so, it does exactly what it says. It's a medical-grade personal EKG. It's 130 bucks. Now, the thing to note here is I am not a doctor. Actually, that's not true. Technically, I did get an honorary doctorate degree when I gave the commencement speech at my alma mater, which means I am a doctor, but I'm not really a medical doctor. So, it's pretty obvious why I wouldn't say yes to something like this. But what I do know is I've taken EKGs on other like personal health devices, like Apple Watch. I know you can take an electrocardiogram, so that's ECG. There is also an app that this comes with. So, it basically instructs you on how to do it. There's multiple points of contact. So, you see these metal contact points on the outside here. There's also one on the back. So you grip on both sides and then you place it on your leg for a third point of contact. So it has all this data coming in from all different angles. So, when you buy something like this, you get the hardware. You also get a one-year membership to KardiaCare, which is essentially a way for doctors to then get the information from the device. So, it's not like you just get this and then do all the work yourself. You have the doctors look at the data, and that's how you come together to get a better picture of your, your heart health. And ideally, if it's as accurate as it says it is, then I don't see why it's not an 8 out of 10. Again, I'm not a doctor. So, then the next thing is the Honor Robot Phone. They sent me an email, and their email said, \"Can we come by the studio and show it to you?\" It's already been sort of revealed in press images, but it looks kind of insane. We'd like to demo it and get it in your hands. And of course, I said yes. So, the idea basically is, imagine if your smartphone camera was also a gimbal, 'cause on this phone, you slide the glass open on the back, and then you can flip open a gimbal with a 200-megapixel main camera and it can do all of the things you're exactly now picturing that your gimbal camera can do. The gimbal itself is also really tiny. You've probably seen like the DJI Osmo or something like that. This is giving you all of those same benefits, but with tiny, tiny motors, and it fits in your pocket obviously when it folds onto the back of your phone. So, stabilization modes, being able to turn it and point it wherever you want. And then, of course, there's also an AI assistant that brings the gimbal to life, like a sort of a anthropomorphized face that nods along to the beat of music you're playing, and wiggles around, and can give you happy and sad expressions. It's all a bit much if I'm being honest. But, uh, you can also ask it what it thinks of the outfit you're wearing, and it will look you up and down and tell you. It is like one of those concept phones come to life. I've, I've never really actually pictured them bringing this to market and shipping it, but now it seems like they're going to. They're also doing this in partnership with ARRI, which ARRI does a lot of high-end stuff like RED. So, they're doing some color science, custom color modes and LUTs on this phone that honestly seem to work pretty well. You can shoot in Log, or you can shoot with pre-stamped LUTs from a bunch of different, uh, profiles. Haven't gotten any camera quality samples off of the thing, but seems like a good feature. I honestly, I want to give it like a 9, 'cause they actually made it, and it's real and I didn't think they would. It's doing too much, which is better than not doing enough. So I'm not mad at it. So yeah, sure, 9 out of 10. All right. So the next item here, as you can see, is a chair. I'll get to this in a second. Uh, but a very adjustable chair. And... I had a couple suspicions when I first got this email. Some of you may know I've been using the same chair, uh, for the better part of a decade, decade and a half. But when I see this $1,200 AI-powered massaging chair, I can't help but have that thought of... I don't know, maybe, maybe the grass is a little greener on the other side. Maybe I'm missing something. Here's what the chair features. It has this remote control which does all of the things in the chair. So, the chair has cooling element, low vent, medium vent, or high. It's cooling my butt right now. Uh, it also has a heating element in it as well. There's also a massage feature. So, this piece right here, which is actually moving right now, uh, is the lumbar support, and it has a low, medium, or high massage. It's fine, I guess. Uh, it's only on the lower back, though. It's not on the butt. Anyway, then there is the movement of this actual piece itself here. So... See how that moves, like, maybe three or four inches forward, and then moves backwards. So, you can manually move it forward or backward. But, why would you do it manually when this chair has artificial intelligence built in, according to the website, to do it for you? 'Cause there's an auto smart track feature. So, when I turn that on, basically what I feel now is... you can hear it also moves forward to, like, meet me where I am. I don't know how this is AI-powered or tracking in any way. And what's crazy is when you go on their website, they have a picture of like an AI chip that I guess is somehow in this chair. It also has this. Sort of post up like this in the chair. But I think my real conclusion that I found with this chair is... it is possible to have too much customizability. This headrest, for example. A little. They are like customizable in every single way. That's a lot. Like get out of the chair, which I, I figure most people get out of the chair. I would normally not say yes to this email because when I see \"AI-powered chair,\" I kind, I kind of know where this is going. But I'm glad I said yes to it so I could make that discovery. But it is still a functional chair that you can sit in. I guess that's not a disaster. Four out of ten. All right, next up here, we got a pair of headphones. This Skullcandy Crusher, uh, 1080 ANC. These are brand new and their most expensive headphones yet. I don't know if you guys know too much about Skullcandy, but I'm a little older and I remember back in my day, Skullcandy was the headphones that you got from... the fashion store, Forever 21. I've never had a particularly high opinion on the audio quality of Skullcandy headphones, but now they're coming along with a pair of $280 active noise-canceling over-ear headphones, and they've done it in collaboration with Bose. So, there's a lot of big talk about the sound by Bose of these headphones. I've taken them out the box already. I have not listened to them or tried them yet, and I'm about to, but right off the bat, they're actually built really well. I guess we'll just... jump right in. When you turn them on and off, there's, like, a voice that says, \"Power on.\" And then when you turn it off, it says, \"See ya.\" Okay, connected. There's also, on the side here, a bass wheel. So, they're still really into the, the bass thing on, on just skull-crushingly powerful, loud bass, and you can turn it up or down. I'll start it all the way down at the minimum. Okay. Wow, all right. So, so, at its lowest amount of bass, like 9 out of 10 bass. Wow, these are strong. You turn the bass wheel up all the way and it becomes an exaggerated, overwhelming... muddying of the entire lower end of just booming, powerful bass. So, if the song you're listening to has a bass line or a drum beat or an 808, pretty much all you're gonna hear. You know, maybe there's, there's people for sure who all they wanna do is feel the bass through their chest and their skull and they go to concerts and that's what they're there for. The fun factor is high, but I don't think I would spend $280 for these. But nothing else sounds like this. So, six out of ten. All right, so this next thing has by far the most red flags of anything else, uh, that we're looking at today, from the email to the website. Even through it actually getting here. I still am not exactly sure what's going on with this company, but I'll show you, I'll show you anyway. Hopefully, it's not a scam. It's weird. So, uh, it's a... thin, portable gaming PC. At least that's what this is. When you go to their website, you get an email from them, you say yes to everything, you go to the website, and you investigate. The only two things on their website are this computer, and a $10,000 e-bike pod-looking thing that they're saying is street legal. Those are the only two things this company sells. So, I'm, I'm not really sure what's going on. It's grantsinclair.com, this screams like, it's just a guy who has, like, two ventures that he's into and maybe both of them are working well, I don't know. Uh, but he... he sent us this gaming PC. I fired it up. It's less gaming PC and more just like a... a couple stacked PCBs with an emulator that can play a couple of games and gets kind of warm. But, yeah, as you can see by this thing, it's got, essentially, these two unlabeled controls which underneath you can feel a bunch of different buttons. But they're, it's basically like a D-pad over here and then like a selector here. Uh, there is a microSD card slot at the top. There's a couple ports over on the side, one of them being... mini HDMI. And then there's a USB Type-C port at the bottom to charge it. And then there's two speakers at the top. So, you open one of these games, Astro Blaze, and you select it. Yeah, I'm not very good at this, uh, but there's a lot of enemies here. It's weird. It has a couple games built in. You can add games to it. It is very thin and light, but I have very little experience with stuff like this. It's essentially a Raspberry Pi. It's about 150 bucks on their site. It's a weird site, man. I don't know. I said yes. I'm not sure if I regret it yet. Maybe I will, maybe I won't, but now, we have a tiny gaming PC. Five out of 10. It's kind of doesn't do anything terribly. Maybe the pads on the bottom could be a little stickier. So, I could, maybe these should be labeled. Eh, 5 out of 10. Okay, so this has been behind me the whole time. It's a new TV. This is the Sony Bravia 9, too. This is in my inbox as a true RGB TV. That's the pitch. This is a very premium 65-inch TV. Costs $3,600 but also goes up to like 115 inches or something like that. It is not an OLED but Sony is pitching this true RGB technology to be almost as good as OLED without the downsides of OLED. So, true RGB means independently controlled red, green, and blue LEDs instead of passing through filters. So really vibrant color and great brightness, but also no burn-in like you do get with some OLEDs, and that is the headlining technology. And it's also a smart TV, so I'm on the YouTube app and I found that right out the box it was very obvious that the reds are super saturated, and this is just in the standard mode. Even when I switch over here to the cinema mode or some of the other less vibrant modes, it's still a ton of saturation on the reds. So, it's just something I noticed right out the box. Obviously, it's still a really good-looking TV. It's still 4K, still has a ton of resolution. But I found that some of the extra stuff around the TV, around the image, actually made just as much of an impact for me. Specifically, the anti-glare finish. You were looking at this TV in front of a massive window right now, and the first thing I noticed when looking at it is that it reflects almost nothing. So, it's got these deep blacks, it's got really, really high brightness, it's got saturated colors, and you can see everything because the anti-reflective tech is actually good. I also really like this little box right underneath the display right here, which hides the power cable. If you've ever seen those like lenticular uh films that you can put in front of a person to sort of make them disappear like an invisible cloak or whatever, that's basically the same thing, specifically to make the power cable go away. And then also fun fact, this remote is USB Type-C powered. You'll never lose the TV remote batteries again. I don't know how often you are losing the batteries. And I will also say that the spatial reproduction from the speakers on this TV was also really impressive to me. So, there's this demo when you first set it up to sort of read the room. You hold the remote out in front of it, which has a microphone in it, and then it plays all these sounds and you can kind of hear it figuring out how to set up surround sound. But there are directional, like firing tweeters that go straight up at the ceiling in the back of the TV, and there's a bunch of other larger speakers. There's no woofers, it's not the most bass in the world. Now, would I have normally said yes to this? Possibly. This is sort of also right on the borderline, if anything, just to see this new RGB, True RGB tech. Yeah, I think given the price tag, it's hard to give it much more than about like a 7 and a half out of 10. It is a quite an expensive TV, uh, but the uh... the benefits are pretty clear. So, this experience, as you know, is me saying yes to a bunch of product review requests. And that is a very common type of email that I get. But I also get lots of other types of emails that weren't included in this video that I didn't say yes to. There are things like uh, speaking invitations, event invites, uh, ad sponsored requests, things like that. So, I'll give a shout-out to the RayNeo AR smart glasses who get the award for most times emailing me during this one period. They were all asking to do an ad for the product. They emailed me six times from six different account. Shout-out to them. And then there was another certain company who will remain nameless, uh, who initially reached out, uh, to just send a product, and I replied and I said yes, as I am. And I think they were a little taken aback by that. And so, they replied, uh, \"Actually, can we do a collaboration instead, like an ad?\" Uh, and I said, \"No, I'm not interested in that. I'm actually, you know, if you want to send the product for me to check it out, I'll do that.\" And so they said, \"Okay, never mind but if we can do a collab/ad, then yes.\" I've never seen that before. They said their policy does not let them ship out any products without confirmed video coverage, meaning they wanted to guarantee that I was going to make a video. Fellow creators, that is a huge red flag. Do not ever agree to that, but do definitely get subscribed to tune back in to when I inevitably do this again. And there's also one more thing that I did say yes to, which was to Best Buy for sponsoring this video. So, I have been answering emails and covering tech for the better part of 17 years, which is actually more than I have not been doing this. But Best Buy has me beat. They've been celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. So, one of the most fun parts of these Say Yes to Everything videos is, now, there's a bunch of physical products that I actually get to get hands-on with and test that I ordinarily wouldn't have gotten to try. But that is what Best Buy does best is they'll let you get hands-on with the best tech before you actually make your purchase decisions. And they've been doing it longer than anyone else. This is the year they're finally going to care enough to make a huge jump. And every year... they don't. So this year is 2026 and we have a whole new set of phones: Pixel 11, 11 Pro and Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. We knew these were coming. And did I get my hopes up thinking this would be the year Google would finally get over the hump? Yes, I absolutely did... And did Google finally make that leap? You know, it's a Pixel. It is what it is. These phones are a frustratingly incremental improvement from the Pixel 10 series, including one very, very annoying small way. In fact, I want to start with that way because it really tells the story. Because you might have seen some rumors behind the scenes about this Pixel Glow or some sort of like a glowing thing on the back of these new phones... And it turns out that is real on the back of every new Pixel, from the base to the Pro Fold. Combined with the LED flash is this neat little... multi-colored LED. It's subtle, but it's there and it gets pretty bright and it's colorful. So, all right, cool. What can we do with this?.. Well, the feature's officially branded as Highlight. And if you go into the system settings, you can see the full list of all the customization you can do with this new piece of hardware, which is... you can have a glow when you talk to Gemini and light up a certain color when a specific contact calls you. And that's it? That's it?? You put a shifting, pulsing, glowing LED in the back of the phone. Brand new. Something interesting for the Pixel... all to just have it glow when we talk to Gemini or get phone calls. Not even text messages. Like, I can't even make it a notification light for anything else. No third-party developer support, no clever other things we can do with it... Just phone calls. I can't even remember the last time I made a phone call. There are companies like Nothing who are actually doing all sorts of semi-interesting things with keeping your phone face down and giving you information... on the back of your phone so you don't have to pick it up or even look at it. It's basically half the identity of that phone company. But you don't even have to do all that. We just want colored notification LEDs back from like 2017, but here Google has relegated it to just phone calls. That's it, it is what it is... Here's everything that's new for the base Pixel 11. So you can see this bright new color, Fuchsia in the same shape, same silhouette we all know and love. Still recognizably and lovably Pixel. The camera bump is a bit less protrusive though, which is nice. So they've actually designed their first-party case to basically be the same thickness, so their camera bump disappears to zero. Cool. There's also a new larger 48-megapixel primary camera sensor. Still has an ultrawide, still has a 5x telephoto as well. Definitely looking forward to testing to see how big of a difference this new camera makes. Get subscribed to see that in the full review. And then there's slightly faster wireless charging, now 25 watts instead of 15. Also shout out to them keeping the Pixel Snap magnets... And of course, inside is the new Tensor G6 with 12 gigs of RAM... which I will have to benchmark and put through its paces. But there doesn't seem to be any eye-popping... mega leaps here. The phone is as smooth as it can be in my hands-on, but it always is. And it's finally caught up to the pack by having a new doubled 256-gig base storage. And they also increased the price by a hundred bucks. So they essentially got rid of the 128-gig $800 spec and now the price of entry is $900. So for the 11... Pro, it still comes in the same two sizes, the 6.3-inch Pro and the 6.8-inch Pro XL. It also looks... just like the Pro Pixel has for a while with the much shinier sides. And this time the camera bar is also slightly redesigned. So instead of doing the little cutout for the old temperature sensor and the flash, it's edge-to-edge glass all the way across the back now... And it's also rocking a new main camera sensor, a 50-megapixel one that's theoretically the best yet. It's a big one. It's 1/1.3 inches, so pretty substantial. That should let a lot more light in... New 48-megapixel telephoto as well. And then the same 48-megapixel ultrawide... And this Super Actua display is... not higher resolution, not higher refresh rate, not bigger, but it is definitely brighter. It peaks at 3600 nits now. Not that the 2200 from last year was terrible, but you know, that's a nice little bump, I've noticed it. It seems like the brightness slider was... in mostly lower brightness and then the last quarter of the slider was extremely bright... Maybe that's just me, or maybe they got some tweaking to do there. But then this thing also gets faster, 25-watt Qi 2.2 wireless charging and... that's it. No crazy ultra-fast charging or like huge silicon-carbon batteries or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5... or any massive 1-inch camera sensors. That's it. But then get this. The only other thing you need to know... is that RAMageddon is real, and it is very much affecting these phones, because last year the Pixel 10... Pro... started at a thousand bucks and had 16 gigs of RAM. This year the Pixel 11 Pro starts at eleven hundred bucks and 12 gigs of RAM. So yeah, clearly memory is very expensive... The 512-gig and 1-terabyte versions will have 16 gigs of RAM. So it's just the, the 256... Pro that is down to 12. But yeah, the Pro XL starts... starts at thirteen... hundred dollars. So then last but not least for the phones anyway, the new Pro Fold. And at this point in the video, you can probably already do this with me. So new chip, Tensor G6, new camera bar with the highlight light, and a new 48-megapixel main camera... Slightly faster wireless charging. The new displays that are just brighter. And there is in fact a new hinge mechanism. But the difference it's making here is for sure more subtle than some of the other new gen foldables that I've seen. I mean, this phone is... 1 millimeter thinner and... slightly lighter overall and it lets those inner screen bezels get a little tiny bit slimmer. But... this is not the thinnest foldable out there. It's still got a bit of a crease, it's not terrible and it does kind of still disappear to the eye when you're looking at content. But... it doesn't make the big step up that like Samsung and Oppo and others have. It's one of those things that would be nice if they could have matched that... since you are still paying the same premium for this phone... I personally still love these aspect ratios and these screens. I think it's awesome to use the Pixel Fold closed and I love that it's still IP68 dust and water resistant, which is something a lot of other foldables can't say. But the price also went up. It's also, it's starting at $1,900... for the 256-gig Fold, which is 100 bucks more than last year. Now Google also did mention they have this new composite glass-fiber back cover material that's supposed to be like way harder to crack or break... Obviously wasn't trying to break it or crack it when I was there on my hands-on. But at some point... we'll leave that to the professionals and see if it's actually better. But I would just... remember that glass is glass. But you know, I had to look back and try to remember when I started calling the Pixels like the smartest smartphones. And it turns out it's back in like the Pixel 2 days, so nine years ago. And if you, if you watch those reviews even back then, you can see the sentiment popping up that like Google doesn't seem to care about making the fastest phones or the best hardware or the biggest battery or really taking any particular risk. They just have the most clever software features and that's just what makes the Pixel... the Pixel. So here we are nearly a decade later and... that's still true. Pixels have so many features that you miss when you go to other phones like Call Screening and... Now Playing... the classics. Gemini is intertwined everywhere you look... and this year they've thrown in a few more. There's a clever feature built into the camera now that lets you write a bunch of stuff into a teleprompter and then when you hit record and start talking, it auto-advances the text based on how fast you're talking. It's neat. And that's definitely going to kill a third-party app for somebody somewhere. They also have talked about using Tensor to do faster Night Sight and smoother zoom while recording 8K video. These are all neat tricks. Very much appreciated and probably also not exclusive to these phones. I could see them easily coming back to older Pixel phones as well. Cause that's the Pixel thing. It is what it is. So yeah, I'm gonna put my eSIM in a Pixel again like I always do, probably the matte black one with the new matte black rails. And I'm gonna get really into it and do all my benchmarks and take lots of photos and videos and... probably get really excited about it like I always do. But then I should set the countdown timer to see how long it takes for me to start missing the 2-day battery life or the 80-watt charging or the substantially less crease that some of the competitors have for the same premium price. But definitely get subscribed to see the full review... when that does come out. Now there's two other nuggets that Google did drop today. The new Pixel Watch 5, which... looks just like the Pixel Watch 4 and the Watch 3, et cetera, et cetera. And everybody generally agreed that less bezels... equals better. The higher the screen-to-body number, the better we were doing. It was improving. But then we started to come up against the limits of display technology. So that's when we had to start getting creative with things like the Xiaomi Mi MIX phones. You remember those?.. And then phones with curved edges, like Samsung started doing for a couple years with that whole waterfall display thing to make it feel like you had almost no bezels at all on the sides of the phone... And we even got all the way to that concept phone, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha, where the display curved all the way around to the back. So they technically got to say they- They had an over 100% screen-to-body ratio. It was a pretty interesting time. Now, we later, of course, realized that, you know, we were getting a little bit carried away, and there are actually some downsides to curving the displays over the edges. Less durable, more reflections, accidental touches, all this stuff. So, you know, the curved edges started to go away. And these days, we seem to have settled on, like, 1- to 2-millimeter bezels... all the way around a smartphone screen. Like, that's just... That's just how premium phones... all look now. It's gotten so good that some people will actually see a phone that looks like this and leave a comment... like this saying, the thickness of these bezels is unacceptable. Which has always, to me, felt a little bit ridiculous. Like, I see it as people complaining... about something that they were never going to buy anyway... But fast-forward to 2026, and I get an email from a company called Tecno... who wants to show their 0-millimeter bezel to... concept phone. All right, I'll bite! So I said, yes, it showed up... And here it is... This is a big... premium smartphone with a 6.7-inch display... and zero bezels, corner-to-corner, edge-to-edge, nothing but display. Well, actually. Okay, hang on a second. Is it truly... zero... bezels? Like, I'm sure a lot of you are looking at this and thinking, okay, if it was zero... truly zero bezels, wouldn't I just be holding basically just a screen right now? I feel like you can see some silver around it. How is it zero bezels?.. And I know that you're thinking that, because... that's what I was thinking when I first took it out of the box. But what we're actually looking at here, all the way around the screen is the literal frame of the phone. And we talk about the frames on these phones all the time. This silver, the metal, this phone clearly does have a silver mid-frame all the way around it. But that is not the same thing... as the thin black bezel that typically surrounds a display. So, like here's the Pixel 11 Pro. You can see the black is the display's bezel and then the metal is the frame. So clearly, okay, now you can see that there's a difference between a normal premium phone and this 0-millimeter bezel. Now, the secret, the way they're achieving this is with internal display stacking. So it's a flat screen. But... holding this, you'll actually notice the frame is slightly higher up, slightly raised up from the display itself all the way around. So you can feel the edge of it with your finger. And of course, straight on, that means you don't see any bezel. So you can say, yeah, 0-millimeter bezel, but if you tilt it really far to an angle, or I imagine if you peeled this frame off of this display, you'd see a tiny little bit of bezel hidden underneath here. Unfortunately, this little edge kind of breaks the immersion of using... a full-screen device more than any tiny bezel probably would, just because now every time I swipe, especially from the top to get to notifications... or from the bottom to go home, my finger drags along that edge. So it looks... amazing, clearly. But I feel like actually using the phone, weirdly, I'd prefer to have a little bit of bezel and have smooth edges rather than having no bezel, but having to feel the edge, this rough edge every time. And I think that answers the big question of why this is a concept phone and not a real phone that they plan on shipping, because the rest of the specs... are... solid. It's a nice display. You know, it's nice and bright, 144Hz. There's triple cameras back there. It's a 6,000 milliamp-hour battery, and it also, it's super lightweight to the point where it almost feels like one of those plastic dummy phones with no internals. It's kind of surreal. Surely all the YouTube commenters hating on bezels... would love to try something like this, right? I mean, they'd probably also still want to see that hole-punch camera turn into an under-display selfie... camera. But still, this is... form over function... It turns out you actually need a little bit of bezel, at least with today's display tech, to be able to have that smooth experience using a phone and not drag your finger over an edge. And also to put a case on the phone and not have the case... overlap onto the display... itself. This is more for Tecno to be able to say they did something unique. I looked on the press release on their website and it says this breakthrough on the Tecno next-gen bezel-less concept phone... is much more than a design upgrade. It redefines how users will interact with their phones in the AI era... by removing visual barriers between digital content and the real world. I would say relax, they're hyping themselves up. I get it. Surely this video is... feeding into that too. But you know what I didn't find on that press release that they should be hyping up more... When I first took this out the case, I... unboxed it and I pulled it out of this bubble wrap sleeve... and the first thing I noticed was the back of this phone. And fun fact, the back of this phone, arguably more visually interesting than the front. They didn't say much about it in any of the press releases, but it's like this holographic 3D butterfly wing type of thing. It looks to my eye... like it's... actually... coming off of the back of the phone, like it's gonna... You're gonna have to take my word for it because it's extremely difficult to capture on camera... But I swear this is... one of the best lenticular lens effects I've ever seen with my own eyes. It's absolutely insane. So if they do ever ship a phone like this, they definitely need to make a clear case for it because... it's crazy either way now, you know... Thanks for watching... This review brought to you by the Poetry Society of America. Just kidding. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 hit the streets this past week, and I've been daily driving it ever since. And I pretty immediately... started to love this thing. You can actually hear me practically falling in love with it during that First Impressions video... But now it's past. A week later, I've taken a lot of pictures, I've killed the battery a few times. I've gotten to know what it's really good at and what it's also worse at, and I've run up against its limits, its quirks. The honeymoon period's over. And... I still... really like it. And you know what's crazy about calling it the... honeymoon phase? It's actually kind of perfect, because once the honeymoon is over, you're still married. And then you understand better all of your partner, all of the flaws and all of the downsides that come with them. But you embrace that stuff because of all of the positives and upsides that come with it... And at the end of the day, you're closer together because of it. And, sorry, maybe that's a bit too poetic. This phone's pretty sick, mostly. Like, you can tell right away it's a genuinely new form factor. Even though we've seen this general shape, this more squat aspect ratio before, it's also... thinner and it's more squared off, and it's just a different execution than those past phones... So as a result, this thing is way better than a normal smartphone at a bunch of stuff. But it turns out that comes with being definitely worse than a normal smartphone at some other stuff. So which do you want first? You want the good news or the bad news? I feel like probably most people will want to start with the good news because, you know, at first impression, that's when you get all the positive vibes. And I think a lot of people will have the same thoughts as me, which is just look at this thing. Look at how neat this thing... looks. It's not quite a square, but this is a 5.5-inch diagonal, slightly rectangular AMOLED display. And it is bright, it's sharp, it's a Samsung display. They do all this stuff well... There's relatively even bezels all the way around, and then it's squared off... so it's easy to open and close. Like a notebook... like this. This thing is just awesome. The way you normally hold it, your finger perfectly lines up with the power button, which is also a fingerprint reader. And I know I have big hands, but I find almost the entire display... reachable... with one hand, which is something you don't say about most phones these days. You know, there's really almost no reason you'd ever actually need to reach all four corners, but it's pretty amazing how much you can do without the hand gymnastics. Like, look at this camera UI. Notice that they've moved all of the buttons you ever need to press... over here to the right-hand side. Every single function is reachable with one hand on the screen... And it's funny, the viewfinder, it almost kind of looks like it's cut off at first, until you realize that's just what a normal photo aspect ratio looks like without all the normal blank space all the way around it. Like this is just straight up better than a regular phone. This aspect ratio is also slightly worse... than for vertical scrolling with the little black bars, which technically makes it better... because we all wanna be doomscrolling a little less, right? But then when you open it up, it's a perfectly 4:3 aspect ratio and still feels like this little small notebook thing. The screen itself is great. It's another high-refresh-rate AMOLED with this new anti-reflective coating in there. It also has Samsung's new Titanium Flex Hinge, which does like a B+ job at minimizing the crease. And this all makes an awesome canvas for... kind of everything... It's wide enough for two side-by-side apps, so I can legitimately do the occasional productivity stuff I've done with other folds. But it's also really nice for a single vertical app when you turn it sideways, which is really good for reading. I just find it just such a nice thin piece of hardware to hold for a long period of time. And I know you wouldn't think 4:3 displays are great for watching videos, but... But... fun fact, this plays back widescreen videos... bigger than the Ultra does. Turns out 4:3 is... I mean, it's more widescreen than a square, so it's slightly bigger for media. And then of course you have the occasional older or newer... 4:3 videos that you also find online from time to time. And those look... amazing. Something, something, the Odyssey. But look, you can see how the honeymoon phase would be awesome with this thing, right? You take it out the box, the screens look amazing. It's lightweight, it's easy to open and close, it's just fun to use. And then it's great on paper, too. Like, it's got the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. And Samsung is also finally starting to put some silicon in their batteries... Not as aggressively as the Oppos and Vivos and Xiaomis of the world, but enough to get a 4,800 milliamp-hour battery in this phone, which has proven to be... all day even with a lot of big screen use. And it recharges at a respectable 45 watts, which is actually faster than any other previous folding Samsung phone ever... They might have just nailed it! but then you keep using it. You know, you install all your apps, you get into your routines and you, you go through a few battery cycles, you really start getting to know it and use it and durability test it... and then you start to notice... some things that you... didn't initially pay as much attention to. Like, not every app plays nicely with these aspect ratios, which sometimes is fine, it's just kind of inconvenient or makes like some awkward black bars on the sides or a bunch of blank space. But also sometimes it means apps are critically broken. Like when I try to play Crossplay, don't judge me. The play button is completely unavailable to me on this phone. Like, the front screen is too short, but then also the inside screen is the wrong shape too. I cannot get that button to show up. That makes this game literally unplayable on this phone. And depending on what other apps you use, you may encounter way more of these than I did. There is also no flex mode, so you may have noticed that awesomely upgraded spring-loaded hinge that makes it more satisfying to open and snap shut. Also means there is no like halfway open position like there is on the Ultra. I mean you can kind of prop it halfway open, but there is no software mode to take advantage of that. There's also the slightly awkward speaker situation, so you'll notice when it's closed, things sound fine. And it's stereo because the speakers are at the top and the bottom of the front side. But when you open it, both those speakers are now on the left hand side... So you'll notice, like watching full-screen videos, the sound is kind of lopsided... Not gonna lie, it's just all coming out of the left side of the phone. And you notice that. lining up on certain wireless chargers is also tough on this phone, especially the ones where the phone's supposed to sit up and use its height to align. Like a lot of in-car chargers just don't work. And there's no built-in magnets in the phone, so it makes a lot of chargers I used to rely on sadly not usable without a magnetic case... And it's also a big-time rocker on a table with no case on. And then probably the most obvious shortcoming of them all, less cameras... I mean, it's a thinner, lighter, smaller phone. So in pursuit of... having enough battery, there's less room in here for cameras. So you have a 50-megapixel primary and then a 50-megapixel ultra-wide. No telephoto at all. And these aren't bad cameras, they're just not as good as flagship cameras, like the stuff you would ordinarily get in a slab phone. Unfortunately, most photos are just... fine. They're not super sharp, they're not incredible colors or great low-light performance. They're not... They're just... fine. Which kind of sounds like nitpicking, but on a $1,900 phone, which this is just kind of hits a little harder not having some of the best cameras. Most great, expensive phones should have the best cameras. And so that's what happens, that's what you start noticing as you really start to get to use this phone. Obviously you learn it really, really well... and it's not perfect. There's even some stuff about this phone that goes underappreciated because it takes a backseat to the novelty of the new shape. Like a lot of the software stuff. This is the first phone I'm getting to test with One UI 9 on Android 17. So that's why it has this fancy new responsive clock on my lock screen that like moves according to my wallpaper. It's super sick... And the thicker volume and brightness sliders in quick settings and just a bunch of other subtle tweaks that, you know, they're nothing game-changing but worth a nod. I also like that you can turn off the mirroring of a home screen and inside home screen, like, you can have them be totally separate layouts. But I think what I'm thinking about most now, now that this is out and exists and we're used to it, is what is Apple gonna do with their... folding iPhone that we're expecting probably in like two months. We're gonna see that, what can we learn... from this... in that phone? And I think there's three main things. One, app support... is gonna be key and that's gonna have to come straight from developers. And luckily that is one of Apple's strengths and they've been priming app developers for different aspect ratios and responsive apps for the past couple months and years now. So ideally we don't see too many hiccups like I've seen on this phone. But then two, thin to win. Like, it really does matter that we're coming back to this shape when batteries are better, hinges are better, displays, vapor chambers and cameras are all smaller because the thin and light feel on the hand, turns out, makes a really big difference to make me look forward to taking this phone out of my pocket and and using it. Apple, unfortunately, is probably going to do that phone dirty like they did with the iPhone Air by not having silicon-carbon batteries... and I am already... like... pre-mad about that before they even announce it. But then three, it's going to be expensive. This, this is a $1,900 phone already. Is it worth it? Objectively on paper, it's actually kind of not that convincing, right? It's a smaller outside screen, smaller inside screen, smaller battery, less, worse cameras and the same chip as all the other flagships. Like... and... what's crazy is this is marketed as the, like, more casual... version, where the Ultra starts over two Gs. But if you can find the right audience who obviously has money to spend but wants something that genuinely feels new, like, really feels new, then then you might just have something.
